Just saw it in Solaris Books website: they have signed up Keith Brooke for a new science fiction novel, The Accord.
In the site´s release you´ll be informed that the Accord is "a virtual utopia where the soul lives on after death and your perceptions are bound only by your imagination. This is the setting for a tale of love, murder and revenge that crosses the boundaries between the real world and this virtual reality."
The Accord was published as a short story in the first Solaris Book of New Science Fiction. "When Keith approached us with his idea to expand it into a novel, we were all incredibly enthused," said the editor, George Mann.
I´m very enthused too: The Accord is one of the most elegant and well-written short stories I´ve read in 2007. And I´m far from being the only one to think so: this story has been chosen for Gardner Dozois's next Year's Best Science Fiction. Excellent choice, Mr. Dozois.
Kudos for everyone involved: George, you´re the mann (pun intended - but as a compliment). Keith, as a reader and a writer, I´m glad to know that you will expand that universe. For - can´t resist writing that line, it´s great - I´m of the Accord, as well as your readers. I hope to read this novel soon!
(update: in Keith Brooke´s website, he announces that The Accord will be released March 2009. I´ll be waiting eagerly for it.)

Hey, Fabio - thanks for the lovely write-up. I'm really excited by this one. I'm currently putting the finishing touches to the novel - almost done now!
Thank you for dropping by, Keith. And good luck with the novel - endings are almost always as hard as beginnings - but much more satisfying (IMHO, of course).
