não vou fingir que onze de setembro é um dia como outro qualquer. também não vou fingir que acredito na versão oficial dos fatos. não sou muito afeita a teorias da conspiração, mas desde zeitgeist e do operation northwoods (este muito em especial), passei a acreditar que o governo estadunidense estava (pró) ativamente ligado aos ataques.
esta semana o discovery channel transmitiu um documentário que investiga a hipótese conspiratória com foco na torre sete. não percam as reapresentações.

neil caffrey, an unemployed 45-year-old from london who had blood streaming down his cheek, claimed a policeman had caused his injury. he told afp: "i was standing my ground peacefully, there was a surge forward and he attacked me with a big metal truncheon."
asked about the raid on the rbs office, he said: "i saw one man pick up a large metal pole and smash the window. so what? he smashed a window, he's angry. sometimes a man has to shout to be heard."

de repente todos os documentários e notícias antiterroristas de onze de setembro são uma idiotia. aquela história dos pipocos ouvidos imediatamente antes das torres caírem - exatamente como numa implosão controlada - me convenceu bastante bem sobre os ataques terem sido comandados por w. bush e ralé.
agora temos um novo adendo à hipótese: em 1962, os eua já teriam planejado algo semelhante contra os próprios cidadãos de miami a respeito de cuba, num ato conhecido como operation northwoods:
the plan called for cia or other operatives to kill innocent people and commit acts of terrorism in u.s cities to create public support for a war against castro-led cuba. one plan was to "develop a communist cuban terror campaign in the miami area, in other florida cities and even in washington".
