Over 120 people attended the 9th Brazilian Graphic Design Biennial Seminar which took place on Thursday April 16th at Raffles Design Institute - Shanghai. Being the only official event of the Biennial in Asia, the Seminar presented an overview of contemporary Brazilian Graphic Design through some of the selected projects from the biggest Latin American design event. The Biennial is currently in São Paulo (March 7th till May 17th) and the Consulate-General of Brazil in Shanghai is planning to bring it to China in October during the 2009 Shanghai International Creative Industry Week.
第九届巴西平面设计双年展讲座于4月16日周四在东华大学－莱佛士国际设计专修学院举办，共有120余人出席讲座。此次活动是双年展在亚洲地区唯一官方活动。通过精挑细选，讲座展出了拉丁美洲重大的设计活动，总体介绍了巴西平面设计行业的动向。目前（从3月7日至5月17日），巴西平面设计双年展正在圣保罗如火如荼地举办。巴西驻上海总领馆正筹划在今年10月份的2009上海国际创意周上举办双年展。

RDI's Visual Communication Program Director Andy Lawrence introduced Brazilian graphic designers and VC Degree lecturers Bruno Porto (from Rio de Janeiro), Itamar Medeiros (from Pernambuco), Raquel Nolasco (from Brasilia) and Sarah Stutz (from São Paulo), that gave a total of 90 minutes talk to an audience of local college and high school students, journalists and chinese and foreign members of the Shanghai advertising and design industries, as well as lecturers from other Raffles departments and the Brazilian Ambassador Marcos Caramuru de Paiva.
东华大学－莱佛士国际设计专科学院视觉传播系西主任 Andy Lawrence 向大家介绍了巴西的平面设计师。此外,该系本科讲师Bruno Porto（来自里约热内卢） Itamar Medeiros （来自伯南布哥州) Raquel Nolasco（来自巴西利亚） Sarah Stutz（来自圣保罗）为与会者呈现了一场90分钟精彩纷呈的讲座。与会者有来自当地大学高校的学生，记者，以及上海广告设计行业的中外同仁，也有来自莱佛士学院其它专业的讲师，此外巴西大使 Marcos Caramuru de Paiva 也出席了该讲座。

Presentations were delivered in english and chinese and covered the many accomplishments of the Brazilian Graphic Designers Association - ADG Brasil in its 20 years of existence and around 15 cases (out of the 283 that can be found in the exhibition) of logos and visual identity systems, packaging, animation, branding, book and magazine design, typography and dingbats, advertising, promotional material, etc.
此次讲座采用中英双语介绍，内容覆盖了巴西平面设计师联合会（ADG Brasil）20年来取得的众多成就，还介绍了在巴西展出的283件作品中的15件。这15间作品是关于标志，视觉辨认系统，包装，动画制作，品牌设计，书刊杂志设计，字体和修饰体，广告设计，营销材料的。
